Parish News and Notices 4th June 2023

1. Parish AGM - PARISH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING: Sunday 11th June after the 9.30 am Mass St. Patrick's Parish Hall, Fairlie. All parishioners are warmly invited to attend. Please bring a plate for a shared morning tea following the meeting.

Please take the time to thoroughly read the financial report before the upcoming AGM of our parish, which will take place next Sunday. It is important to be well-informed about our financial situation.

We value your input and would like to hear from you regarding our community's vision for the future of our faith communities in Twizel, Tekapo, and Fairlie. As the saying goes, "Where there is no vision, the people perish" (Proverb 29:18). As your local pastor, I am eager to hear what excites you the most and what areas you believe need improvement in our Mackenzie Catholic Parish.

It would be disappointing if you choose not to attend the AGM. We encourage your active participation and hope you will join us. Let us never lose hope in the power of God. Just as the Lord multiplied two fish and five loaves to feed many, we trust that He can work wonders with our collective efforts. Thank you for your attention and commitment to our parish community.

2. No daily Mass from Mon 5th - Thurs 8th June, Father Tien is attending a diocesan gathering of priests at Hanmer Springs.

Lito during this difficult time, and we ask that you join us in praying for the repose of his mother's soul. Fr. Lito has informed me that he will be traveling to the Philippines on Saturday, June 3rd, to be with his family and bid farewell to his mother. May she find eternal rest and peace.

6. Please join us in prayer for the following intentions: For the souls of recent passings of Ines Magi Quinones, Mary Brosnahan, Theresa Gabities, Mrs. Donovan, Fr. Kevin Foot, and Chuck Blanchard, remembering Marie Conaghan
