Next Safeguarding Workshop – Tuesday 27th June at 1pm – Christ The King

Who is required to attend:

Leaders and volunteers from any parish. Volunteers who have not yet attended a Safeguard Workshop and existing Volunteers who have not attended a workshop in the last three years.

​Attending these safeguard workshops is a requirement of volunteering/ministering in every parish in our Diocese. Leaders, please encourage all volunteers you are responsible for to meet this safeguarding training requirement. You do not need to RSVP, just turn up and sign in.

A Holy Spirit retreat on 7th, 8th, 9th July. "A time away to replenish, learn about and experience the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Chapel on site with adoration, rolling hills and times of praise and worship. Come out to the countryside, relax, replenish and be filled. Perpetual Adoration - 10th Anniversary Mass

All are invited to attend Mass on Friday,30th June at 7.30pm to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the opening of the Perpetual Adoration Chapel. Christchurch Choral Festival

Free concert 2pm – 3pm, Sunday 13 August at St Mary’s Pro-Cathedral.

Come and celebrate a concert celebrating the joy of singing together. Items from a number of choirs around the city.

Second Hand Catholic Book Shop

If you are looking for the right book to nourish your faith which doesn’t cost much, St. Augustine’s Second-Hand Catholic Bookshop is the place to visit in Christchurch.

Come and browse the many subject areas and discover something new to read about our amazing faith. If you have any Catholic books that you no longer need and not sure what do with, you are welcome to drop them off at the shop so they can be passed onto a new generation.

LOCATION: 90 Greers Rd, Christ the King foyer. OPENING HOURS: 11am-2pm. EFTPOS available.

Diocesan Vocations Coordinator

Matt O’Connell has been appointed as the Diocesan Vocations Coordinator to work alongside the Vocations Director, Fr Tien Cao. Matt will be helping with new initiatives and events to promote vocations. He can be contacted on or 027 536 9407.
